Dzień dobry,
Jestem zainteresowany budową dźwigu podobnego do tego z mosiądzu.
Nie rozumiem mechanizmów hamowania.
Sp, potrzebuję planów lub zdjęć z dużą ilością szczegółów.
I chciałbym odwiedzić jeden.
Czy ktoś ma informacje, które mogą mi pomóc?
Czy każdy może podać lokalizację istniejących dźwigów.
Dziękuję za pomoc.

Hello,

I am interested in building a crane similar to this in brass.

I do not understand the braking mechanisms.

Sp, I need plans or pictures with good detail.

And I would like to visit one.

Does anyone have information that can help me?

And can anyone give the location of existing cranes.

Thank you for the help.

Thank you. Any crane will do . I just want to be able to understand how the brake system works. I am located in Warsaw. The crane you show is a bit far away. Are there any closer to Warsaw?

You may consider looking at this book:
Die Hebezeuge : Berechnung und Konstruktion der Elemente, Flaschenzüge, Winden und Krane : für Schule und Praxis mit besonderer Berücksichtigung des elektrischen Antriebes.
(The hoists: calculation and construction of the elements, pulley blocks, winches and cranes: for schools and practice with special consideration of the electric drive.)

Although it is in german there is a lot of pictures and informations.
On page 101 there is chapter called "Bremsen" ("Brakes").

Here is sample picture from page 546:

This has been extremely helpful. Do you know of the location of any yard cranes of any type. In Poland of course.

There are also some similarly built hand driven coal bunker cranes in former engine sheds.
Some 20 years ego they were in Suwałki, Oleśnica, Godków, Kartuzy, Giżycko, Skwierzyna, Nowa Sól, Koszalin, Lisewo, Ełk, Dobre, Somplno, Jędrzejów, Pleszew Miasto.
